-Quilotoa Lagoon-

The Quilotoa lagoon is a volcanic caldera of emerald green and turquoise color, it is located in the Pujilí canton in the province of Cotopaxi. This lagoon was the product of a volcanic eruption approximately 800 years ago.

This place hidden between the Andes has a lot of magic and we are not only referring to its geography but also to that shared by its natives, its crafts, its flora and fauna, its climate and gastronomy, which attracts several tourists from our country and some from different parts of the world. It is not only a beautiful place to observe but also to carry out different and very entertaining and relaxing activities that would help us to connect more with nature.

There are various activities that visitors can perform such as; tourists can take walks towards the lagoon and around the lagoon, visit the viewpoints of "Shalalá and Quilotoa". If you dare to try something new, you can rent a boat or kayak to navigate its waters and then camp for the night; You could even sleep in front of the shore of the lagoon, but remember to be careful and stock up well before doing so and of course, take into account that it is important to collect your garbage to protect nature. On the other hand, if you do not want to camp in the area there are several hostels, cabins and even hotels where you could stay while you are visiting, here you can also taste different typical dishes of the area that we offer you. it sure won't let you down.
