The Tour to Switzerland is one of the most prestigious and important stage races in cycling. It is also one of the last important tests before the Tour de France and fortunately the Ecuadorian cyclist Richard Carapaz was crowned champion of this Tour on Sunday, June 13, 2021. Our compatriot added another triumph classified as historic in this which was the 84th edition of this famous contest.
With this international victory of "La locomotora de Carchi", Ecuador shows the world that it has the strength and prestige of having distinguished athletes who are capable of standing out among the multitude of stars as we remember that among the triumphs of Carapaz stands out the remembered Giro d 'Italia in 2019 in which our beloved cyclist surprised the world for the first time with his talent and quality for this sport. We hope that "Richie" continues to stand out internationally and continues to give us joy in the next voyages and challenges that he will have to face in the future.
